Cogs In The Machine Of Statism (Part I – Introduction)

It doesn’t matter what form of statism we are talking about, they are all, ideologies aside, the same: the State controls everything, thus controls its population, and uses its control to keep the populace in a relative stupor, through this leftist, dumbing down machine. To find this kind of pervasive statism, we don’t have to look outside of our own borders, any more. There’s no need to look into the past, at Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia, or into the present at communist Cuba or the juchist North Korea, as we can just look about at this once great country.
Yes. I said it. …once great country.
That descriptor actually makes me think of one of those great movie speeches. The one that comes to mind is that made by the character of NYC Mayor Alex Pappas, (played by Al Pacino), at the funeral of James Bone, a child whose storyline death – the boy is struck and killed by a stray bullet from a shootout between an off duty policeman and a criminal – causes an investigation of several NYC political figures, including the Mayor himself. Here is the whole scene, on Youtube:
Here’s the parts I that feel are relevant, today, for America:
…Until we can walk abroad and recreate ourselves, until we can stroll along the streets like boulevards, congregate in parks free from fear, our families mingling, our children laughing, our hearts joined — until that day we have no city…
…There was a palace that was a city. It was a palace! It was a palace and it can be a palace again! A palace in which there is no king or queen or dukes or earls or princes, but subjects all — subjects beholden to each other, to make a better place to live. Is that too much to ask? Are we asking too much for this? Is it beyond our reach?! Because if it is, then we are nothing but sheep being herded to the final slaughterhouse! I will not go down that way!! I choose to fight back!!! I choose to rise, not fall! I choose to live, not die!! And I know, I know that what’s within me is also within you!…
I honestly believe that if we gather ourselves together and work hard to regain the freedoms and liberties that our Founding Fathers fought for and for which our Constitution was written to protect, we can, once again, “…walk abroad…”, free to stroll, congregate and play and return America to the “shining city on a hill“, so often spoken about by the late President Reagan.
For me, there are four areas of control that a leftist state uses to attain and then retain power:
– food production;
– media; &;
I will take the time to post on each of these topics.
